Join the Men's Clubs of Northern Hills Synagogue and Beth Abraham Synagogue to experience the Total Solar Eclipse!
As totality will reach Dayton but not Cincinnati, this will provide the best opportunity for us to witness this incredible event.
Enjoy a kosher deli lunch at Beth Abraham, hear from Dr. Jack Bernstein (bio below) and watch the eclipse from the parking lot. The eclipse will begin around 1:50 PM, reach totality around 3:09 PM, and last about three minutes. ISO certified eclipse glasses will be provided with registration. Please bring your own lawn chair.
Dr. Jack Bernstein
Dr. Bernstein is the Vice President of the Miami Valley Astronomical Society and is an avid astrophotographer. His first solar eclipse was in 1970 in the Delmarva Peninsula in New England, and most recently, he witnessed the 2017 eclipse in Portland, TN.
Please note that lunch is build-your-own-deli sandwich, which includes corned beef, pastrami, turkey, salads, and dessert. If you would like a vegan sandwich or salad, please note that in the accommodations section below.
