Women's Torah Study

The Conversation Project
Thursday, Apr 24th 1:00p to 2:00p"While 92% of Americans say it's important to discuss their wishes for end-of-life care, only 32% have had such a conversation." The Conversation Project guides us in starting those conversations, first with ourselves, then with our loved ones and our medical team. In this eight-week course, we'll spend time removing the taboo of talking about death, we'll verbalize what we want for ourselves, and we'll gain skills on how to communicate with the people who will be responsible for our care, including completing our own Living Will with the guidance of a legal expert.

Pancakes of Gratitude: A Community Brunch Honoring Keith Siegel's Return
Sunday, May 4th 12:30p to 2:00pKeith Siegel returned home after 484 days of captivity. Keith is an American-Israeli citizen who enjoys making pancakes for his family every Shabbat. When he returned home, people in Israel and around the world honored him by using his pancake recipe. At NHS, we will have a lovely brunch including pancakes, fruit, various toppings, and pastries. We will honor his return by using his recipe. This event will be open to the community.
