Saturday, March 1, 2025 • 1 Adar 5785
9:30 AM - 2:00 PMNHSJoin us on Saturday, March 1, for HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) Shabbat, honoring over 100 years of rescuing Jews and others fleeing persecution. HIAS continues its mission today by aiding displaced people of all backgrounds worldwide.
Our Shabbat service will conclude early with a special panel featuring Paula Nevins, Alex Gellen, and Regina Appatova. They will share personal stories of facing intolerance, forced displacement, and navigating life in a new culture.
A kiddush will follow the presentations. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
"When strangers reside with you in your land, you shall not wrong them... you shall love each one as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt." —Leviticus 19:33-34
