Sisterhood Opening Meeting 2024

We welcome all Sisterhood members to attend our opening meeting for the 2024-2025 (5785) New Year. Join us for musical entertainment and reconnecting with current and new friends.  A light brunch will be served.

Irina Bernadsky immigrated to USA in 1993 from the Capital of Ukraine,  Kiev. 
She started to play Jewish music with Cincinnati klezmer project band right away. In 1998, she received a scholarship to " Klezkanada " musical camp, where she learned a lot of Yddish/ Jewish songs, tunes and traditions. 
Irina's full time job was an Activity Director at Wellspring Health care center,  until 2022 when she is happily retired. 
Irina played Jewish music for many different happy occasions.  Also with Cincinnati klezmer project band , she played for World music fest, Klezmer festivals,  Hebrew Union college,  Hazak programs.  Irina was asked to play a mandolin part at production " Fiddler on the roof " by Dayton Playhouse.  Irina had a unique opportunity to play twice for Itzchak Perlman's visits to Cincinnati at Music hall,  also for everyone favorite " Home for the Holidays " program with John Russell and Pop's. 
Currently,  Irina serves as accompanist for the High holidays services at Temple Beth Sholom at Middletown. 
 

Jude Jones, a native of Cincinnati, resides in West Chester Township. Jude’s professional background
includes both music therapy and working as a professional musician. She holds a bachelor’s degree in
music therapy from the College of Mt. St. Joseph and a master’s degree in education from Xavier
University. She is passionate about using music in creative ways to assist clients with dementia.

 

Peter Tomaino will perform two operatic numbers accompanied by Royal Duncan on the piano.
